No Filter Air Purifier Reviews

Air can be purified without the use of filters, and the two main technologies that accomplish this are ionizers and ultraviolet lights.

Ionizers are devices that use voltage to electrically charge air molecules. Specifically, they generate negative ions. When these ions collide with smoke particles or other pollutants near the ionizer, they pass on their charge, causing the smoke particle to be attracted to the nearest grounded surface, inside the no filter air purifier. The pollutants accumulate on the removable grid inside the ionizer until it’s full up, at which point you take it out and wash it off. Some ionizer grids can be run through the dishwasher.

Ultraviolet air purifiers use a small ultraviolet lamp to shine onto air particles drawn into the purifier. If the ultraviolet light is of the correct wavelength, it breaks the organic bonds in microorganisms, killing them. This is one way to take viruses, bacteria, and molds out of the air. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control recommends UV light along with HEPA air filters for purifying the air, particularly in environments, such as doctors’ office waiting rooms, where germs abound.

One no filter air purifier is the Hamilton Beach True Air Allergen Reducer, which retails for $59.95. While it does contain a filtration system, it does not require the use of replaceable filters as HEPA air purifiers do. It is lightweight and can be set up either horizontally or vertically oriented on a flor, shelf, or desk. With no replaceable filters, it’s especially affordable. You simply vacuum the permanent filtration system every four to six months. The filtration system removes dust, pet dander, dust mite debris, mold spores, and pollen. It can remove allergens from a room up to 160 square feet in area. This model has three speeds, all of which are very quiet. Consumers should note that the efficiency of the permanent filtration system will degrade eventually, and it is not as effective as an air purifier with a (HEPA) filter.

An example of a no filter air purifier review that uses ultraviolet light to purify the air is the Germ Guardian UV-C Room Air Sanitizer, which sells for $129.95. It uses an ultraviolet light to eliminate up to 99.9% of airborne germs and does not use chemicals or generate ozone. It also inhibits the growth of mold and mildew. About the size of a lantern, it fits easily on a desk or table. It operates quietly and can sanitize up to 200 square feet in one hour. This is the same technology used in hospitals to eliminate airborne germs effectively and naturally. The fan draws air into the base of the machine, and the air passes through a chamber where UV-C light shines on it, killing up to 99.9% of viruses, bacteria, and mold spores. The sanitized air is released from the top of the unit.

Some air purifiers still expensive today on the market. Technology on purifier still expanding. Perhaps there will be a new method later discovered with less price. Your hub is good to know for the reader for better knowledge on current technology of purifier without filter used.
