Owen Maclaren, a retired aeronautic designer, became an entrepreneur of baby buggies with the advent of a grandchild. The original buggy had fabric with blue and white stripes over an aluminum frame. A successor to that first buggy is the maclaren Stroller line of strollers.

The maclaren Stroller is loaded with many standard features. The standard features include: 5 point harness, umbrella fold, removable washable seat, shopping basket, quality aluminum frame, raincover and water resistant hood which protect babies from rain and sun exposure. Additionally the parking brakes are foot-operated for the ultimate in control and safety.

In addition to the standard features, there are features unique to the Stroller line.

Weighing 5.2 kg or 11.5 pounds, the Stroller is intended by babies three to six months old. The maximum carrying capacity is 15 kg or 55 pounds. The stroller has multiple reclining positions with adjustable straps. Comfort is of utmost importance to maclaren and the Stroller offers an amazingly smooth ride. The shoulder harness is height adjustable. Other aspects of the Stroller will be surely appreciated by parents. The foam handles have been designed to be ergonomically superior to other handles. Extra storage is present on this model.

Another popular maclaren Stroller is the Twin Stroller. This is perfect for twins or two small children. Its maximum weight capacity is 30 kg or 110 pounds. The Twin Stroller offers babies multiple reclining positions. A unique feature with this is that the stroller’s design allows for varying positions among the two children. One child can be upright and the other child can be fully reclined. The Twin Stroller has two square hoods which again can be used for both children or for just one child. The foam insulated handles and height adjustable shoulder harnesses are also available on this version.
