What air purifiers?

The job of an air purifier is to clean the air of any pollutants that irritate or cause an allergic reaction. Someone who suffers from hay fever will need an air purifier to remove all pollen from the air so they don't have a reaction. The same is true for someone who has a dust mite allergy but this time they machine will need to remove all dust mite faeces. As you can imagine some air purifiers are good at picking up certain chemicals more than others.

Based on peoples different needs I will always review specific purifier models based on a multitude of task and provide separate marks for each.

Most air purifier review sites require laboratory access so that the efficiency can be compared when picking up different particles.

There is now a vast array of technology that purifiers utilise such as HEPA filers, UV and Ionizers. If you don't understand how these types of technologies work then it can be hard to decide which is best for your problem.

HEPA was designed by the navy as is often used to clean the air on Submarines. HEPA purifiers work by using a very small holed polymer/paper that blocks particulates before they can cause any problems. HEPA is great at cleaning air but its downside is the cost of replacement filters. We have known some filters to cost more in a year than the cost of the air purifier. When reading a review be sure to check the price of filters and how often they need replacing.

Top Things to look for in An Air Purifier Review

I have spent literally thousands of hours reseraching air purifiers for clients and for my home. You need to know that many people who write air purifier reviews are not always writing to provide the most honest opinion. A lot of reviews are so called ad-torials - which are written by a writer but they are paid by the manufacterer. Obviosly keep well way from reviews like these.

Here are the top things to look out for in an air purifier review:

  • Is the website/publication trusted? What is there style of writing like - would you listen to them if they spoke to you like that?
  • Be aware of any review that is really posistive or highly negative. Iin reality all air purifiers have both plus and minue points. Try to only look at reviews that seem honest.
  • Are you reading a review that is at a shop that doesn't provide unomoddified user reviews? Do they only sell purifiers from one company?
  • Use Amazon to start your research. Amazon.com works with so many different companies that it does not make sense for them to go against there consumers. Look for purifiers that have a large number of 5 star reviews. Try to stay way from air purifiers that have lots of negative reviews especially if they break.
  • Don't go on thin content affiliate sites. These are those that have very little content apart from a few highly posistive words about each air purifier. These sites can be easily deteceted by having very little design and look very basic.

If you follow the following guide - you should be able to find quality air purifier reviews that help you find the air purifier that is right for you!
